Cookie Policy
1. Essential Authentication Cookies
We use strictly necessary `HttpOnly`, `Secure`, `SameSite=Lax` cookies managed by Better Auth to maintain your authenticated session across requests. We also store your consent choice in a first-party `aiphotocombiner_consent` cookie and in browser storage so we do not ask on every page.
2. File Uploads Require Authentication
Uploading and managing files requires a signed-in session. We do not issue anonymous upload identity cookies; file ownership is bound to your authenticated account and all storage access is scoped to that account.
3. Optional Analytics & Marketing Cookies
Analytics and marketing cookies are optional and disabled by default. If you enable either category in the consent manager, the corresponding scripts are allowed to load so we can understand product usage and measure campaigns. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Analytics Cookies
When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics 4 may store first-party cookies such as `_ga` and `_ga_<container-id>` to distinguish visitors and sessions. We use this data to understand aggregate traffic and product usage. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings.
5. UI Preference Storage
Theme preferences (Light, Dark, or System mode) are stored locally to prevent visual flashing during page navigation. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies unless you explicitly enable the Marketing category.
6. Managing Your Consent
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept all optional cookies, reject them, or choose categories. Your choice is stored for up to 180 days and can be changed whenever you like. After that period, we ask again and keep optional cookies off until you renew your choice.
